Consuming thoughts

So if you thought by chance that my morning sickness was curbing any sort of cravings, you were dead wrong. I feel hungry all the time, just with nausea on top of that. It seems like all I can think of is food, hence the reason for this blog post.
I am very excited about two upcoming meals. First is tonight's, just because I saw it on a commercial and it looks amazing:

And then for my birthday dinner, this has been planned for weeks!:

Hello Morning Sickness

You greeted me just in time for week 7. I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones, but I am not. However I am grateful because it's suppose to be a sign of a healthy pregnancy, and I no longer get the death glare when someone asks me how am feeling. Before when I said "oh I'm just fine" all mothers seemed to want to kill me with their eyes :) I haven't gotten sick sick, just nausea. Hopefully it will end before I start teaching again.

First doctors appointment is on Valentine's day. How sweet.

Extra Large Pea

So the size of my baby is suppose to be like that of a pea...however based on how my pants are fitting I would say it feels more the size of a softball.
In other news, for some strange reason everyone is assuming we are having twins. I have had numerous people ask right away if we were expecting twins. .. and one person my husband works with had a dream a few months ago that when we got pregnant it would be with twins. Here's the thing, that doesn't run in our families. However I would be so thrilled and thus have started praying for just that. Call me crazy, but I think it would be so fun! Now I just have to wait a few more weeks to see!

Make it more real

I had to wait a whole WEEK to tell family and friends that we are having a baby, and that seemed like an eternity. We wanted to do it in a cute way, so we ordered a dog shirt from Amazon that said "big sister". It cracked me up, it ended up being a muscle shirt, but it was too cute seeing everyone's reaction. Since that time I feel like time is still dragging. This is going to be a LONG 9 months, because I'm already too excited to meet this little baby....who has been nicknamed several things so far. One name for it is red bean (since Maggie's children have the "bean" theme) and the other is peanut...which my MIL likes to say goober instead.

Reason To Blog

I'd say this is a justified reason to blog...I'M HAVING A BABY

People ask "Do you want a boy or girl" I've tried the politically correct answer and say "oh I don't care" but anyone that knows me very well at all knows I would LOVE to have a girl. However if I do have a boy I will of course be thrilled....and dress him in cute old man sweaters.
Okay something cute: The dear babies due date also happens to be my fathers birthday and a few days after my mother in laws birthday. I love that.
My sister in law is also pregnant, but this is her second :) I am excited that we will be having children so close together...in fact we are only 3 weeks apart!

I feel like there is SO much to do and not much is getting done. Every room upstairs needs to either be painted...or needs serious help. However we are at a stand still until it A) it gets heat or B) is spring time. I'm hoping to get heat up their asap though so I can start working. I'm a planner and need to get things done, so this is driving me a little crazy.
