Caroline JoAnn

Born at 1:19 AM Thursday, 8lbs 8 oz. and 21 inches long
She's perfect. Maggie worked so hard! They got to the hospital at 7am on Tuesday and Caroline was here at 1:19 on Thursday. I was tired just staying up to see her be born, I can't imagine how Maggie and Kylie felt.
She has a case of the jaundice so unfortunately they can't come home today like planned. The pediatrician is off on the weekends so in order to monitor her they are keeping her over night again. We are so fortunate to be able to see her again tonight though!

ReL8 connections

I work for ReL8, I know I've mentioned this before. Recently I have been trying to get our name and program out into the community. Today I had two speaking presentations and they were a lot of fun. I met with the Kiwanis club at noon, ate lunch and then talked to them about what I'm doing in their community. I was a little nervous, it was a room full of forty strangers. As much as I try not to get nervous and pray about it I still get a knot in my gut. As soon as I start talking that feeling goes away, but I started to trip over a few of my words and that throws me off a bit. The director of my cpc said she didn't even notice, you are your worst critic I suppose.
After that I got a chance to speak at a local radio station. The interview was very short and to the point, but so much fun. He is also going to write up a story in the local paper once schools start again.
Hopefully with more time I'll get better and ReL8's message will be all over the state!

What a week

This week started out terrible (due to some crazy girl emotions) but is ending very well. Kolby and I have decided once again to be more active. We have either walked, played racquetball or rode bikes every night this week. It always feels good when you get out of the house and do something, even better if that something is benefiting your health.
Some other exciting news: We have a new restaurant in town! That's right, for you big city folk, this is nothing and not as exciting. However, I come from a small town that has thus far only offered us DQ, Subway, McDonald's, 3 small hometown cafe's, 3 Pizza joints and one Chinese restaurant. Now we have a fabulous Mexican restaurant. Kolby and I have already eaten there 2 times. It is yummy, and fairly cheap!
Also, this week I have had the task of trying to put together a picture slideshow for my church's 35th anniversary. At first, it was no problem, it was actually a breeze scanning in the 500 pictures (for real, it was easy and painless). When it came to putting it all together....UGH...frustration set in. I have an older laptop and it kept freezing, wouldn't save my work etc. Finally though I got it finsihed and I'm so relieved.
And in other news....I'll be a local celeb next week. That's right....more to come

Don't Judge My Hair

Much like awkward family photos, don't judge my hair is a must see blog. I can't believe that some of these are real.

My new obsession

Food blogs. I love to find new food blogs and try to recreate the cuteness. That is my thing, not so much the food, but the cuteness. I love to throw dinner parties for the sake of getting out cute plates, and decorating and making a cute dinner. Sounds silly to some, but its fun to me. I don't do it as often as I would like because

1) I live in a very small rental
2) I don't even have a set of plates yet, like a real set. I just can't decide what I want. Do I want something colorful? Something white? Something square? Something round? Something trendy...
3) Time, oh of course I could make more time for what I love but I haven't committed myself yet.

A few things I want to try:
